This page explains how the GoMeter website uses cookies and similar technologies. It applies only to this website. How the GoMeter app handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Strictly necessary storage

These are needed for the website to work, so they don't require consent:

• NEXT_LOCALE (cookie, 1 year): remembers the language you picked.
• gm-analytics-consent (local storage): remembers your cookie choice.
• gm-install-bar-dismissed (session storage): remembers that you closed the install bar.
• payload-token (cookie): only for site editors who sign in to the content management system.

Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed and which app store buttons are clicked. This helps us improve the website.

• Data collected: pages viewed, the website you came from, clicks on app store buttons, approximate location (country or city), device type, browser and operating system. Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses.
• Cookies: _ga and _ga_<ID>, which distinguish visitors and sessions. They expire after 2 years.
• Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Without your consent, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all.
• Retention: analytics data is kept for 14 months.
• No advertising: we don't use the data for advertising. Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off.
• International transfers: Google may process the data in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Privacy-friendly statistics (Umami)

To count visits from everyone, including people who decline Google Analytics, we use Umami Cloud, provided by Umami Software, Inc. Umami sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't follow you across websites.

• Data collected: pages viewed, the website you came from, campaign tags in links, clicks on app store buttons, country, language, browser, operating system and device type. IP addresses are not stored. Visits are counted with an anonymous identifier that changes regularly and can't be linked back to you.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). The data is only shown to us as aggregated statistics.

Your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw it, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are deleted. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
